Hybrid wax and Liquid wax are both popular types of automotive waxes, but they have some differences in their formulation and application:

Formulation and Ease of use:

Hybrid Wax is a spray sealant infused with carnauba wax. It's a quick spray on, wipe off product that can be used as a stand alone wax/sealant. However, this product is unlike any others on the market, it looks like water and over application will lead to streaks. You won't be used to using so little, the reason it looks like water is because unlike every other product on the market, there are no additives such as coloring, fragrances or other unnecessary fillers in this product, it is pure product, so very little is needed when using. Should be used very sparingly, you only need 1 spray per 2' x 2' section.

You can finish your whole car in 15 minutes as it can be applied safely to every surface. It can be used on anything from glass, paint, rims, chrome, metals, trim, plastics, decals, clear-bra, fiberglass, and more. There are no limits with this product!

Liquid Wax is a newly developed full synthetic paint sealant that applies like a typical wax, but is much easier to buff off and lasts a very, very long time. You wipe off after 30 minutes, then needs 6 hours cure time to fully harden. It only needs to be applied once or twice a year. This product is safe to apply to ALMOST every surface. We recommend to completely avoid using this on plastic and rubber.
The only type of plastics that are safe are 'shiny/glossy' painted plastic parts, headlights, and taillights. Just make sure they are in good condition with no peeling/damaged areas.
It's the unfinished, raw, usually black or grey colored rubber/plastic such as window trim and plastic bumpers that sometimes have issues.
To avoid these areas we suggest applying 1-2" away. If you notice some accidental application, simply wipe it off before it dries.

Each of these products can be used on their own, but they work best when used together. We've had unmatched results in terms of longevity and shine when applying our hybrid wax over top of our liquid wax. We've even had customers use both of them in their homes, on their stainless steel appliances, granite tops, and even the kitchen sink!

Hybrid Wax can be used after every car wash to enhance and extend the life of the Liquid Wax.

Now for application:

Since the Liquid Wax durability is so long, it should be the very first product applied to your vehicle. The method for the products you currently have would be to:

Wash > Thoroughly Dry Vehicle > Apply our Liquid Wax > Lastly, apply Hybrid Wax.

To dive in deeper; Since this is your first time applying our sealant, you need to make sure to remove all previous wax/sealants from your vehicle. The best and cheapest method to do this would be to use regular dish soap instead of your car wash soap (i like Dawn, but most others would work also).

1) Simply wash your entire vehicle with this water and dish soap mixture.
2) Thoroughly dry your vehicle
3) Apply CarGuys Liquid Wax, wait 30 minutes and then buff product off. (Don't apply to raw plastic & rubber!)
4) After buffing off, wait 6 hours for the product to fully cure
5) Apply Hybrid Wax. Remember, there are no limits to this product, you can apply it to every part of your vehicle.
4) Do 1 quick wipe/buff with the microfiber towel, if you see a bit of residue, let it sit for about 1 minute to dry, then go back and do a final buff. This should get rid off all remaining residue.
5) Put on your sunglasses, and enjoy the shine :)

The next time you wash your vehicle, use your regular car wash soap. And then only need to use the Hybrid Wax as a topper to rejuvenate the shine and also to help extend the durability of the Liquid Wax.

When it comes time for re-application of the Liquid Wax, we recommend going through the whole process again.
