First I would like to explain the difference between the two products, and then I will get into best application tips. It will be a little long so I apologize!

Hybrid Wax is a spray sealant infused with carnauba wax. It is a quick spray on, wipe off product that can be used as a stand alone wax/sealant. You can finish your whole car in 15 minutes as it can be applied safely to every surface.

Liquid Wax is a newly developed full synthetic paint sealant that applies like a typical wax, but is much easier to buff off and lasts a very, very long time. You wipe off after 30 minutes, then needs 6 hours cure time to fully harden. It only needs to be applied once or twice a year.

Each of these products can be used on their own; but they work best when used together. We have had unmatched results in terms of longevity and shine when applying our hybrid wax over top of our liquid wax.

Hybrid Wax can be used after every car wash to enhance and extend the life of the Liquid Wax.

Now for application: It seems you are on the right path. The method for the products you currently have would be to:

Wash > Clay Bar > Polish > Quick Wash/Rinse > Thoroughly Dry Vehicle > Apply our Liquid Wax > Lastly, apply Hybrid Wax.

To dive in deeper; Since this is your first time applying our sealant, you need to make sure to remove all previous wax/sealants from your vehicle. The best and cheapest method to do this would be to use regular dish soap instead of your car wash soap (i like Dawn, but most others would work also).

1) Simply wash your entire vehicle with this water and dish soap mixture.
2) When you're done and while your vehicle is still wet, empty your bucket and refill it with clean dish soap and water.
3) Use this clean water/dish soap as your clay lube. Simply use your car wash mitt to squeeze this liquid wherever you're using your clay bar.
4) After done clay bar. Rinse and dry your vehicle.
5) It will usually already look great. But if you want the extra step, you can polish it. This will be very time consuming and difficult without a machine buffer, but it is possible.
6) After the polish, a quick wash and thoroughly rinse your entire vehicle to get all of the polishing residue off.
7) Thoroughly dry your vehicle
8) Apply CarGuys Liquid Wax, wait 30 minutes and then buff product off
9) After buffing off, wait 6 hours for the product to fully cure
10) Apply Hybrid Wax.

The next time you wash your vehicle, use your regular car wash soap. And then only need to use the Hybrid Wax.
