To dive in deeper here's the step-by-step guide on how to use our Plastic Restorer:
1. Clean the surface: You need to make sure to remove all previous dressings or wax residue from the surface you are applying to. The best and cheapest method to do this would be to scrub the surface using an 'IPA solution for detailing', or the other method would be to use our CarGuys Super Cleaner.
We recommend doing this because sometimes our product has a tough time penetrating the surface when there is existing residue from other products such as waxes/sealants/old dressings. If that isn't a problem, regular soap and water should be sufficient.
2. Apply Plastic Restorer: Apply our Plastic Restorer and let it penetrate.
3. Leave the applied Plastic Restorer for 20-30 minutes or even an hour to let it penetrate: After application, the bottle recommends letting the product sit for 10-15 minutes before wiping it off, but some customers complain the product didn't work. For these surfaces that are having a bit more difficult time to penetrate, we recommend applying our product, then walking away for 20-30 minutes or even an hour to let it penetrate.
4. Thoroughly wipe off all the excess: Wipe off all the excess to prevent dust from sticking to and to prevent run-off during the rain.
Tips: And remember, don't waste products by using too much! This product should go on very thin, a little will go a very long way.
