Our Liquid Wax product is totally safe to use on paint, glass, metals, chrome, decals, headlights and taillights, and more, but we recommend to completely avoid using on plastic and rubber.
The only type of plastics that are safe are 'shiny/glossy' painted plastic parts. It's the unfinished, raw, usually black or grey colored rubber/plastic such as window trim and plastic bumpers that sometimes have issues.
To avoid these areas in the future, we suggest applying 1-2" away. If you notice some accidental application, simply wipe it off before it dries.
The cheapest and most effective method to get rid of these spots would be to go to the dollar store and get some pink erasers. This would totally eliminate the white spots.
The other method, which costs more, and takes more time and effort, would be to use our CarGuys Super Cleaner and a medium to firm scotchbrite pad that you would use in the kitchen. You would need to spray the cleaner and scrub hard on the surfaces. Our Super Cleaner is safe to apply to every surface except for glass and delicate instrument panel screens such as your speedometer cluster and navigation screens. Then you can finish with our Plastic Restorer.
Here is another customer who went through the same process with the Super Cleaner and Plastic Restorer method:
