We have had many customers use it on their floor mats and side rails with no problems. However, I do have to include this warning that there is a potential that it can cause a slippery surface.
If you do decide to apply it, make sure to wipe it off completely and thoroughly about 10-15 minutes after applying to remove any excess. Then let it dry again, and once fully dry, I would suggest giving another second wipe down just to be sure all excess product was removed.
This product dries to the touch after application, but just be cautious and mindful, and test it out a little bit after you're done, especially if it becomes wet.
If there is a bit of a slippery feel, it shouldn't be significant, and it should fade over time, while the color should still remain restored.
